Lo sport è qui inteso come metafora della vita, con le sue conquiste ed i suoi fallimenti, dove ciò che è ha significato particolare si proietta in ciò che ha significato universale e accomuna tutti noi esseri umani. Io definirei qui il tema dello Sport come una sorta di narrazione mitologica del quotidiano. I miei soggetti dunque, sono immaginari e lo spettatore, ogni spettatore, può infatti, rispecchiarsi e sentirvisi coinvolto, dato che non ritraggo persone famose, esistenti o esistite. Essi, i miei personaggi, divengono quindi nella loro particolarità e caratterizzazione, nella loro specifica individualità immaginaria, metafore di forze, di tensioni, di aspirazioni universali, sottese o meno, che tutti noi viviamo e che sentiamo profondamente veri.

Sport is understood here as a metaphor for life, with its achievements and failures, where what has particular meaning is projected into what has universal meaning and unites all of us human beings. I would define the theme of sport here as a sort of mythological narrative of everyday life. My subjects are therefore imaginary, and the viewer, every viewer, can in fact see themselves reflected in them and feel involved, given that I do not portray famous people, either living or dead. My characters, in their particularity and characterization, in their specific imaginary individuality, become metaphors for forces, tensions, and universal aspirations, whether implicit or not, that we all experience and feel deeply true.
